Unique skin contact Catarratto from vines trained in a unique traditional way-- vite ad alberello-- where the vines grow in independent bushes close to the soil making it possible for them to produce spectacular fruit even under the extreme conditions of the island, including heavy winds, scant rainfall, and harsh terrain. Beautiful notes of lemongrass, lime leaf, and green tea, with lots of structure and acidity. This skin contact stunner was made for pairing with Mediterranean or Italian dishes, like calamari, chicken Piccata, and other island inspired fare.

Region: Pantelleria, Italy
Vinification: Farmed using organic and biodynamic methods—the fight against weeds and parasites is conducted with agronomic means, without pesticides, cryptogamic or any other type of chemical product. No fertilizers of any kind are made, not with chemical fertilizers or even organic ones. Wild herbs are planted at the end of winter. In the cellar, fermentation starts on its own by indigenous yeasts. Grapes are destemmed and remain on the skins for several days. Aged in stainless steel for 6 months. Zero SO2.
