The Rocks District sits just below the border in Walla Walla. If you ask Graham, he’ll tell you the terroir from this tiny AVA is as unique as the Willamette Valley. You can almost smell the river rocks that the AVA is named for… those baseball-sized, blueish, brownish stones that go 100 feet down. The vines translate that into black olives, violets, and a lovely aroma of wet stone. Memorable, to say the least.
