Sikelè Rosso 2016
A beautiful (and old!) wine that smells like sun-baked plums and dried figs with notes of tobacco and leather. Dark and brooding yet somehow light in its feet. We really love this one with pizza or on a stormy summer night.

Grape: 100% Nero d'Avola
Region: Noto, Sicily, Italy
Vinification: Farmed organically and grown in limestone soil. Hand harvested. Native yeasts fermentation in concrete. Aged 8 months in concrete, 12 months in neutral 60 hL French barrels, and at least 3 months in bottle. Unfiltered, unfined, minimal addition of SO2 at bottling.
