Alice Bouvot and Charles are the proud proprietors of 5 hectares of vines in the Arbois region of the Jura. L’Octavin is now Demeter biodynamic certified and they work to convey this message to the fullest. Wild grasses, weeds, insects, and animals all have a place in their vines creating a true ecosystem that gives a deeper meaning to each glass of their wine. Since 2009 all L’Octavin wines are "pur jus", with no additives whatsoever. This is the rare Savoyard variety, picked up on Alice’s annual road trip around France from her friends at Domaine Trichon in Bugey, that shows the sort of easy citrus and fresh, salty character to make us wonder why we don’t see more of this grape.

Vinification: Biodynamic farming, 30 year old vines. Hand harvest, direct press, spontaneous fermentation in tanks with indigenous yeast. No fining, filtration, or added S02.
