Free Solo 2020
From the producer: Herbal, blackberry, cigar box, anise and cherry cola. A nice core of fruit with medium acid and soft tannins.
Vineyard Notes:I want to give props to the young owner Sarah who nearly single handedly prunes and tends the entire vine garden. Her dad still lends a hand with the occasional tractor pass, but she’s the steward now and is excited about bringing health and life into the vineyard! 5th generation Italian owned. Planted circa 1920. Organic with one watering per year. They farm it with the same techniques as the previous generations. It used to be about 18 acres until the 101 was built, now only 0.6 acres remain.
