Jean Yves Peron

i Vicini Maceration 2018

$45

An aromatic amber wine from a Savoie natural wine legend. Jean Yves Peron grows his own grapes biodynamically in Savoie, and he sought out similarly farmed fruit for this wine. Moscato Giallo is the same variety used for sweet, fizzy Moscato d’Asti, but this is treated completely differently. Bone-dry, in fact quite tannic from the maceration on the skins, and not fined or filtered, naturally fermented and nothing added including no added sulfites. Mind-blowing.
