Limited Addition Orange Coferment 2021

Another iteration of this intensely orange wine from our favorite people, Bree + Chad Stock! Floral and zesty, the Pinot Gris and Muscat coferment was the base of this wine giving it lots of fruit and a little herbal quality. The Riesling came in late in the vintage and was added to give the whole thing a little acid bump, and that it does. This one is playful yet structured. A fabulous example of everything we could ever ask for in an orange wine.

We love it with… 🌮🍱🌶

Type: Skin Contact
Vintage: 2021
Size: 750 mL
ABV: 12.8%
Grape: 50% Pinot Gris, 25% Muscat, 25% Riesling
Region: Willamette Valley, Oregon
Vinification: Farmed organically, dry farmed. Hand harvested. The Pinot Gris was fermented on its skins for 5 days until the Muscat was harvested. Harvested in late September, the Muscat was added, and combined the juice measured 21 brix. The varieties were gently pressed together and taken to tank with their solids for natural fermentation with minimal oxygen to protect the delicate terpene compounds inherent to the Muscat. The Riesling comes from an old vine, 1979 plantings, of own-rooted biodynamically farmed vineyard in the South Salem Hills, Vitae Springs. It was harvested and skin fermented separately before being added to the PG/Muscat. Minimal sulfur addition. No fining or filtering.
