A real smooth operator, 'Monochromo #1' strikes a delicious balance between ripe fruit, rocky minerality, and a delightfully salty vein. Pale yellow in color, with pure refreshment on the nose — aromas of citrus, apple, fragrant pine, a Mediterranean breeze. A bit more indulgent on the palate, with notes of white peach, garden herbs, and hazelnut. The finish is long and satisfying, touched by subtlely bitter and balsamic nuances.

Region: Lazio, Italy
Vinification: Farmed organically, no herbicides, no treatments with chemical and/or synthetic fertilizers, pesticide treatments limited to low doses of copper and sulphur. Spontaneous fermentation on skin for 12 hours, aged 5 months in stainless steel tanks. Hands off, no additions.
