Vermut Rosso


In the Sardinian dialect, Meigamma means "nap after lunch," a phrase to embody Barbara and Giuseppe's "slow" life philosophy. They are working biodynamically in Sardinia, with a focus on indigenous grapes and hands off winemaking. This is the first time we've had their red vermouth, and we are excited to share it with you! Meigamma made the base wine for this vermouth and it's infused with herbs and other wild botanicals, all from their 1.1 hectare property. Herbaceous and wild with a strong bitter backbone and bracing profile. Pour over ice, add a twist of orange and a sprig of rosemary or thyme, or try it in your favorite cocktails!

Vinification: This is true country vermouth, made with wild botanical ingredients sourced from the family's biodynamic vineyard, brandy distilled from wine made on site, zero added sugar, and no filtration. It is herbaceous and wild, incorporating an ever-evolving list of roots, wildflowers, berries, and aromatic herbs. Ingredients: artemisia, gentian, dandelion, chicory, myrtle leaves, chamomile, helichrysum, wild thyme, wild rocket, wild mint, wild fennel.
