La Bonne Pioche 2018
Michel Guignier is a natural wine world icon. Here in Beaujolais, he's working biodynamically with the help of his horse, Bistere (who's featured on the label!), to farm several parcels with vines ranging from 30 - 100 years old. La Bonne Pioche is one of Michel’s best known wines-- all sourced from a 7 hectare vineyard in the tiny village of Vauxrenard. It's a beautiful, lively expression of Gamay uninhibited by any additions or subtractions. If we could choose just one zero sulfur Gamay to be a benchmark for the others, it would be this one. A must try!
